UCCserver Offline licence activation

Description

UCCserver Offline is a mode of using UCCserver without the need to connect to a CMM or its UCC controller.

The client software is able to run as if it was connected to the CMM with UCCserver Offline responding with simulated motion and returned data. This allows the programmer to develop and debug a part program offline. By adopting UCCserver Offline, CMM usage can be optimized for part measurement without spending time on non-productive program development.

UCCserver Offline licence

From UCCsuite 5.0 onwards a licence will be required to run each seat of UCCserver Offline, unless at least one of the exceptions exist. A UCCserver Offline licence is not required if:

  • a Renishaw client software, such as MODUS, is being used
  • UCCsuite earlier than version 5.0 is being used

Licence activation

When UCCserver Offline has been purchased, an activation ID will be supplied to the user. When UCCserver is run in offline mode, the user will see a prompt. This will give the user the opportunity to launch the Renishaw Licence Manager, where the users can enter their activation ID. This will connect to the Renishaw website and activate the UCCserver Offline licence on that PC. If the PC is not connected to the internet, then the activation can be done by generating a file and taking that to an internet enabled PC.

If a user wishes to move the licence from one PC to another, the licence can be ‘returned' and then the activation ID will be available to be used on another PC.
