Il sistema di fresatura Renishaw incise™, lanciato alla IDS di Colonia, permette agli odontotecnici di realizzare strutture in ossido di zirconio in laboratorio. Concepito e progettato per essere abbinato alla macchina di scansione incise™, il sistema utilizza una sonda a contatto Renishaw ad alta precisione per la preparazione del lavoro e per la verifica dell’utensile.

World leading technology company Renishaw has appointed a leading figure from the Swedish metrology industry to head up its Nordic operations. Bo Eneholm, aged 42, was until recently General Manager of Hexagon Metrology’s Nordic office, and as well as a deep knowledge of measurement technologies, has a strong background in sales of machine tools and tooling systems. He is also the current Chairman of the Swedish Industrial Metrology Forum (SIMET).

Renishaw is pleased to announce it has acquired a 75% interest in D3 Technologies Limited ("D3"), a company set up in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde and others to exploit certain patents related to Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy ("SERS") and to develop SERS for molecular diagnostics and trace detection.
D3 Technologies Ltd, a leader in Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS), and a subsidiary of world-leading metrology and spectroscopy company Renishaw plc, was honoured with a spin-out recognition award at the recent University of Strathclyde Enterprise Awards. The award recognised D3 for its work on trace detection used in drug development, forensic science and medical diagnostics.

Renishaw recently opened its first dedicated demonstration and training centre for the Indian market at its main office in Pune. The new 200 square metre facility houses CNC machine tools and co-ordinate measuring machines (CMMs) from local Indian manufacturers, which together with supporting seminar rooms, will allow Renishaw to meet the increasing need for training and support being generated by its rapidly expanding customer base within India.

The Linear Motion Masterclass is one of a series of the magazine’s ‘Design Days’, and takes place on 18th March 2008 at the Kaetsu Centre, Cambridge, UK.
Metrology specialist Renishaw and CADCAM developer Delcam are to hold two free UK seminars on increasing machine tool productivity during March 2008. The first event will be held at Renishaw’s Wotton-under-Edge headquarters on Tuesday 4th March, with the second seminar at Delcam’s Birmingham headquarters on Thursday 6th March.
